There was government involvement. The monster was a hoax and a ploy to make people not go into the lake. There was a treasure that some cops and government worker were hoarding and using a fake monster to fear monger. I KNEW IT WAS THE GOVERNEMTN AND THAT SOMEONE WAS TAKING CARE OF THE MONSTER though i was a bit wrong in the motive but still! 💅🏼

Lowkey… I’m suspicious of Marty 🧍🏻‍♀️ They talked to Sadie about Oliver’s death. She’s in an abusive relationship so she can’t say much but I also kinda don’t trust her. I’m leaning towards trusting her though. There is a creepy man though and I think that could be Marty. Perhaps he’s hiding something

Oliver likely was cheating and the found a shop that sank in 1913 called the SS Plymouth which is probably what he was looking for before he died. They’re still not sure. They have found Marty. Maybe Marty is the sea monster lol.

So they finally got into Oliver’s computer and they found an article about a treasure in poverty island

Jon is in Morgan’s apartment to investigate the files that they found. It’s a very lowkey way to say they’re on a date.

Okay so Oliver Sykes was obsessed with treasures. He had a storage unit that Morgan and Jon are searching and they found some things related to Oliver’s hobby. What if… hear me out, there is a monster or something protecting the supposed treasure and that’s why it killed Oliver.

So one of the victims was a treasure hunter and this gives the book a whole new meaning. What if it’s someone protecting a supposed treasure and playing into the whole sea monster story? 🌚

A lot of scientific info! Morgan is still trying to figure out wtf the creature is and i like that. It’s like we get to see inside her brain and theorize along too

PLYMOUTH!! So they have a connection with that word. Marty had a little note with that word in his truck and one of the victims also had something to do with Plymouth. Though the victims might be Plymouth, Wisconsin. I think they’re something there besides the cheese factories.
