That’s why the passengers have to give up their memories. Because if they still had them, they’d be able to grow and change. With no memory of the past and no sorrow, they stagnate, and stay the same. To keep the engine running smoothly.

I don’t think Olly was going mad at all. I think he was trying to tell them something.

OK so I jumped the gun a little bit, it does seem like Q will eventually come to accept his loss of sight. I got a bit worried for a second there.

Yessss Raya go off Queen! You can’t just forget everything about your life! Thats what I’ve been saying!

OK no I’m with Raya, they should be able to leave. You can’t just give up and forget everything. That’s just cowardly.
I’m also finding the constant metaphors a bit annoying. ‘This wall is made of childhood memories, this car is made of broken promises, this door is made of that feeling you get when you peel dried glue of your fingers’.
If Q doesn’t learn to accept his blindness, I’ll be pissed.

OK, so they can’t leave the train. That’s a bit sad. But I suppose the passengers are in a better place?

I hope Olly’s going to be OK.

Raya is letting music back into her life! And it seems Q doesn’t want to leave. Can they leave? All of the staff are passengers. When do they decide to get off? If they do get off, will time have progressed back home, or will the find themselves in the same moment they boarded the train?

I’m loving the imagery. And the juxtaposition of Raya and Q’s moods in that last chapter is great.
Raya: Q listen to me!!! We need to escape!!! We need to find a way off before the conductor comes back!!!
