Umm. Soooo... Ok let's see. Eating the parents means she gets her taste back. Some sort of full circle moment? She lost her taste when their son put himself into her mouth, so now she eats the flesh of the parents and it's cured. What is the significance? Or is that it??

It's like some sort of cult huh. Even as aliens, they don't necessarily HAVE to get rid of all human things. Like, they could be llike Roger from american dad, no? Alien but assimilated. It's not like aliens can't learn. And they're just being ridiculous. Or is that the point? They've been stunted in growth because of some sort of childhood abuse?

I just don't quite understand. It feels like an exaggerated outsider book, maybe it's about autism again, maybe not. It feels absurd. Like why is Yuu going with them? I never got the sense he got on board. Is he doing it of his own volition at all?

Alright so this is kind of like a weird take on a love triangle. Dramas on TV are mentioned a few times. I'm assuming it's something to do with that.

Why is uncle teruyoshi the only adult who feels non threatening? Well i guess they're all adults..

Is it really that drastic and annoying if you don't follow protocol? Maybe in japan

This book is getting weirder and weirder. I can't tell if it's forreal or what. Clearly it is a real book but what.

I don't know which book but it seems familiar somehow. Wuthering Heights or something like that? Or some Daphne du Maurier something or other? Unsure. I like it tho
