A weird, awkward, darkly funny surreal debut novel about a Gen Z burnout struggling to find who she is and where she belongs in life. A fun premise, a woman finds a puddle of goo in an alley, takes it home, nurtures it until it morphs into an actual person.
At times tragic and tender Blob explores love, loneliness, belonging, and identity. I really enjoyed it even if I wished it went a bit further with it.
