This book is both beautiful and triggering. The writing is poetic but the story is achingly sad, angering, shocking.

20% in and really hating Mungo’s brother. Banging on about “bringing up” Mungo and “teaching him to be a man!” and being disappointed in him about Mungo’s conduct during a gang destruction of a work yard. Definite toxic “masculinity” Infuriating!! 🤬🤬🤬
