My coworker asked me a couple days ago what I was reading and I had the privilege to explain this book to her. She told me that it sounds great, but asked how do I, then, mortify sin? I told her I was about to get to that part. Chapter 7 plainly explains that despite ambitions and desires to be rid of sin, all of it is vain apart from Christ. The work of the Spirit is the most essential piece of mortification!
