This has a lot of aspects in long novels I enjoy and combined that with the strength of prose alone, it could be one of my favorite novels of all time. I don’t know why I like violent books so much but I’d argue they provide some relief when most people would rather not talk about these unpleasant aspects of reality. lol that my image of Saint Theresa is the most Mexican place I’ve ever been, San Juan Bautista
