๐ bath tub reading session
๐ฌ The broomstick ride "Granny would always remember" made me all soft hehe
๐ Quote Page 161
"Actually, there are some kinds of observers who, faced with all this beauty, will whine that you can't have heavy light and certainly wouldn't be able to see it, even if you could. To which one can only reply, so how come you're standing on a cloud?"

๐ฌ Esk busy being cringe in front of wizards (ahh the hubris of youth!) but Granny delivers as per usual
๐ 191 - (the uni devel. a personality after absorb. magic)
"The trouble with borrowing another mind was, you always felt out of place when you got back to your own body, and Granny was the first person ever to read the mind of a building. Now she was feeling big and gritty and full of passages."

๐ฌ Granny Weatherwax mention - you know the drill!
๐ Quote Page 188
"Granny had nothing against fortune-telling provided it was done badly by people with no talent for it. It was a different matter if people who ought to know better did it, though."

"He was stupid, yes, in the particular way that very clever people can be stupid, and maybe he had all the tact of an avalanche (...), but it would never have occurred to him that children were important enough to be unkind to."

๐ lunch break read
๐ฌ The Zoon's and "the office of tribal Liar" had me cracking up so much! Right after Granny Weatherwax's grumpy disposition this was my favorite thing to read about so far :Dโฅ๏ธ
(I also like the, for lack of a better word, magic system? but the explanations, albeit entertaining enough, do tucker me out sometimes!)

"Hilta laughed. Esk quite liked the sound. Granny never laughed, she merely let the corners of her mouth turn up, but Hilta laughed like someone who had thought hard about Life and had seen the joke."

โ๏ธ๐Borrowing aftercare, telling Esk about her ~destiny~
mi ma mo just been a lot of exposition and explaining these past reading sessions (something you need in a fantasy world and still terribly funny, but not my preference, so I've been going at snail's pace)
