recently visited ha noi. i knew of their long history of resistance, and patriotism, their history etched into every street of ha noi. it was a brightly lit and soundful city, one always full of life.

but reading the few pages of the book made me picture the tragedy, every passage a terrifying reality the vietnamese people had lived.

this won't be an easy read.
