Samuel Hamilton is so similar in many ways to my first ancestor to come to the US from Ireland- both with the last name Hamilton and both came in the year 1847 from the North of Ireland- that I can not help but feel a very intense sense of familial love and pride toward him. Each and every one of his charismatic and gentle words feel like it’s spoken directly to me from a grandfather.
