This book is like “The Anxious Generation” but for perimenopause 😅💯 idk if that makes sense. highly readable & super enjoyable already (albeit I have a science background, it’s not cumbersome if you don’t).
“If you report any of these symptoms, you are statistically much more likely to be offered an antidepressant than to be offered a discussion on your fluctuating hormones” (17).

VERY thankful to be reading this NOW while I still have time to make right choices to serve my body and mind for aging well; to help protect my body before skeletal damage is irreversible; and to preserve all th bodily functions as long as possible.
I want every woman I know to read this. “Knowledge isnt just power, it’s prevention”(133).
*allows to be informed so u can make tailored, holistic choices

“There is no one-size-fits-all approach, but there is power in being informed” (112).
Helpful book as my body is clearly navigating some changes over the past year. This book certainly “opens the door to action, to options, to hope” for my changing physiology.
Still a very accessible book if you don’t have a science background.

“…what we call “mental health” in perimenopause is often deeply hormonal, deeply contextual, and profoundly misunderstood…We must stop drugging women into silence and start listening to what their bodies are trying to say” (65).
Really informative and fascinating book. Readable but educated.
