oh yeah there’s definitely something wrong with Jonathan Franzen

The references to sex are so out of the blue and SO CRASS that it really throws me for a loop every time. Wondering wtf is wrong with Jonathan Franzen based on some of the things he writes.

I found chip to be wholly unlikable in a completely non-sympathetic and unentertaining way

I was getting really nervous that the whole book was just going to be lists of descriptions. Would’ve DNFed in the first chapter
