I read and loved this as an undergrad student, and I've been meaning to read Achebe's other works ever since. Now finally having copies of his African Trilogy, I figured it a good time to revisit this one before continuing with the next two.

His writing is so efficient: he paints a rich narrative with just a few simple words, and then seasons it beautifully with proverbs and idioms.
