Why is it that the books? I love the most always take me forever to finish. Probably feels like since I struggled to find books so much that it’s like when I finally get a good one. I’m like finally I can just sit here and chill with it. But I opened up this book expecting to see 77 maybe 80 I’m at 49%. I was flabbergasted. I was not expecting that.

That was painful. The first part of the book was solid. Enemies to lovers vibes. Good transition. Then it became a cozy mystery which I hated. The mystery part was dragged out. The cabin trip was random and unnecessary. The story overall was way too long. The hockey secret and con artist secret were not on the same level of damaging. I was so bored and took forever to get from 60% to the end. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The problem is my book is getting super repetitive and the characters are already pretty much together and so the whole build up to the relationship is kind of over and that’s like the best part. As soon as characters get together like I’m losing interest and it’s so hard for me to read. Plus, I’m so over this Abraham Lincoln love letter mystery

I kinda have started this book yesterday but now I’m pretty into it and it’s so good. The banter the grumpy sunshine there’s hockey elements. The girl isn’t so overly annoying or overly quirky that it’s obnoxious. That’s usually what happens and these types of books, but the banter is literally a chef kiss. I love it.
