It was published in 1982. I like its slow pace and gentleness and that it is situated in a village by the sea. There was a train ride in the beginning which I also liked.This is my very first Pilcher.
I am looking forward to reading it. I'm glad I saved a couple for the future! (Keep in mind, though, that some of her smaller novels from the 70s and 80s are less impressive than her 4 big epics. I find them all rather relaxing, but she does shine it on with her bigger, later books).
I'm keeping this in mind. Thanks, Julielein.
I like it so far. 🙂 I hope you will be reading this this year or next year. So we can share thoughts.
My library actually has a copy! Maybe I'll read it after Poldark #5!xoxo
