Interesting to learn that Bacon’s “rebellion” and the way it’s taught is more closely aligned with a Trump type figure vying for power off of white fears in the colonies as opposed to genuine resistance.
Also wild to have never learned of Metacomet who led a genuine resistance during the same era. The more I learn about Native Americans, the more I’m reminded of Palestinians and the intifadas.
