This book deserves a prequel I dont like how Grace Morrow drops the reader right into the story and doesnt give us any backstory of why the Vampyrs and the human kingdoms border each other and why the author relied too heavily on memories and nostalgia from the past. The story's pacing isn't very consistent either, and at times you see a loop of action and stagnation.
