This book was suggested to me as a place to start learning about Da Vinci. That wasn't the case. It is only briefly touches on his accomplishments. In terms of explaining Da Vinci’s creativity, the author's interpretations are (in his words) intentionally “extreme and provocative”. I stopped reading once Shlain started attributing super-human powers of vision to Da Vinci.
