This book is depressing&traumatic

Um… did what I think happened, happen? Like first off— Ew. Second off, I really don’t like Rose anymore. Thirdly, I hope my reading comprehension is off for once lol. 😂 And fourth— I’m assuming that her vomiting isn’t only going to be from working at the slaughterhouse but rather pregnancy again.

I was not expecting that twist in the slightest little bit… and I feel grossed out by it.

~Our lives come and go like these gold-rush towns. We arrive, we grow, we thrive, then were gone. Then the forgetting happens, and once-solid foundations are barely traces in the earth, from unguessable lives. Whole communities and the ties that bound them are blown away with the dust.
In the end, we're all looking for a place to ride out the storm of life.~
