"But how do you get over it?The stuff that happened?"
Peachey rose to feed the fire another few bits of branch&poked the red coals until flames licked the dry bark.”You don't.It's part of you.Never goes away...But if you're lucky,it loses its hold over you you,”Matt turned, took in the boy.”Matt, you go on because the world's interesting&the ticket out of here's 1 way.Living is your one chance of revenge on life

~And she could see now that the baby, still unnamed, didn't deserve to be condemned to a life that was cursed. She had to put it out of its misery.
From the moment the thought came to her,she felt an unexpected lightness. She turned her mind to death &how it danced around her&slipped through the rocks&the trees, slithered through dust &waterhole alike, bringing the release of ending~

Um… did what I think happened, happen? Like first off— Ew. Second off, I really don’t like Rose anymore. Thirdly, I hope my reading comprehension is off for once lol. 😂 And fourth— I’m assuming that her vomiting isn’t only going to be from working at the slaughterhouse but rather pregnancy again.

~Our lives come and go like these gold-rush towns. We arrive, we grow, we thrive, then were gone. Then the forgetting happens, and once-solid foundations are barely traces in the earth, from unguessable lives. Whole communities and the ties that bound them are blown away with the dust.
In the end, we're all looking for a place to ride out the storm of life.~
This has been heartbreaking thus far;I don’t like Rose

-Phil had bought the hat on their honeymoon. When he put it on her head,he let out a whistle of admiration: "Like they say, "There's nothing as beautiful as a woman who is loved.'"It was the most romantic thing he had ever said. The hat had been a talisman of those words, and of that time.
-“Keep a place in your heart for things that are beautiful,"Pete would say to her.”Beauty'll help you get through dark times."
