Woohoo, only 20% left and then I can drop my review!

How can a book be so good and so overwhelming at the same time?

The books well-written, but I can’t help but feel for the characters…

TW: Sexual Assault (on page) to a side character, frequent death, slavery, occupation and conquest by an invading army, abuse towards women. The book has started out fairly graphic with the main FC observing death and violence around her as she is taken from her homeland. It hasn't been so harrowing that I do not wish to continue the story, but this is most definitely an adult read.
