This book is two short novels in one, 1960s French SF/Horror translated. I just finished The Seven Rings of Rhea, a weird Cosmic Horror story that I did enjoy. I can’t say I always ‘get’ the larger concepts that can come sweeping into Cosmic Horror/SF. Have read a few chapters of the novel actually called The Gardens of the Apocalypse.

I've decided to go to this just ahead of Sky High by Michael Gilbert. Both have tempting covers - but, I mean, Sky High has no large green tentacled monster to boast of (safe assumption?).
