This chapter felt rushed. It felt like the story of Adam and Edwin was concluded rather hastily. Not sure if there is more because it looks like a new book/story started. Is this an anthology of short stories? I have to look that up. But the romance feels very gentle and deliberately lightweight. I still love the writing.

I guess that was the end of the book. The shortest book I ever read. Really like the book despite its shortcomings, no pun intended. Anyway, I will have to start addressing near and dear people as “Petal” from now on! It really tickles me.

The audiobook narrator Will Watt is one of my favorites. He is making the romance feel like it’s wafting over me with his very expressive voice and gentle pronunciation. I didn’t realize until Adam pointed out that Edwin did not introduce himself to him. It’s good writing. Also, I feel like conflicts in Alex Hall’s stories, I am realizing, are a little light on intensity and that’s why I like them so much.

Just finished the initial chapters and I’m hooked. The lovable main character is relatable, and I like Mrs. P. The meet-cute scene with the other lead is great. The stammering aspect of the main character is well presented with contrasting inner monologue, which is believable. I’m really into this book.
