White Hills - Mediocre? I appreciate what the author tried to do, going with a racist, 100% human monster. But at the same time, it didn't really deliver. Awful things happened to Marissa, but she was so shallow and unlikable that I didn't even care.

Kushtuka - The concept of a Kushtuka is interesting but that's about it. The look-these-white-people-are-bad was laid on too thick, I didn't care for any of the characters at all, the gore was pure shock value, the writing was bland. 2/5
