probably one of the best books from the "Shortest History" series. Summarising a history of a nation, thousands of years in under 300 pages is no easy task. Doing it well - is even more difficult. I suppose owing to the fact that US History is only 250 years (as a state and I suppose a century or so more informally) makes this a little easier. Either way Don Watson smashed it. Recommend
