Eric Friends always recommend Trollope, but I've never read him.

Cleo He’s great! I would suggest starting with the first book in the The Barsetshire Chronicles, The Warden. I think you would love it, as it shows patience and perseverance in the face of persecution. It’s a lovely book, even if you don’t go any further.

Hedi I agree, The Warden is really charming. I can recommend that as well.

Cleo Yes! The Warden is not the best book of the series but it’s my favourite simply because of the humble graciousness and integrity of Septimus Harding.
