i am getting used to the terse and comma-fearing vignettes that only last about a few paragraphs, but they are still driving me up a wall. what's worse is the realization the entire novel is likely written in a grating omiscient voice that comes close to the prophetic perfect tense. needless to say i am agitated and underwhelmed so far. am i reading the same book as everyone else?

i'm already fed up with the writing style. please for the love of god i hope these sentences start getting longer and we stop using the same subject+object+verb construction for every single sentence. i get it. adina does this. adina's mother does that. adina sees something. please. more variation please i beg.
