As someone new to dark romance, I don't think Ritual was the right fit for me. I picked it up after enjoying Navessa Allen's Into Darkness series, so my expectations may have been too high.

My biggest issue was the scattered storyline. Much of the plot relied on shock value, and I struggled to connect with the characters or the writing.
