Brilliantly written book. Unputdownable. Paints quite a sad picture of a woman who’s generally remembered as confident and shrewd. Almost as if desperation drove her to her biggest successes and her most notorious failures - desperation to support herself, to save her son, her businesses, the man she loved - atleast so far. I hope it ends just as well. Might just be a rare 5*
