This poor teen(almost adult) is carrying so much pressure on her shoulders to provide for her family in her retail job while finishing school. She is just 10 miles of Tijuana Mexico where her family lives and she now has to stay long periods of time at her friends’ house to be the hope for her family.

A high school teen tries to take care of her family after the loss of her mom. She crosses the California border daily to go to school. She gets a job in California to help her family. There is a resentment between her and her older brother because she was born in the USA when her mom crossed over at 8 1/2 months pregnant with her. So, she is the only America citizen in the family.
