… the tolerance I have for professional people (they were at an alliance ball, they are part of this larger structure of “alliance” so I’m going to hold them to a military standard) being incompetent is low. None of these people behave like someone who would be hired to do the job they were hired to do. I’m sorry, but a mechanic on a spaceship unable to do a spade walk is fuckin’ dumb as dog shit.

E.E. 60% - In what universe is this supposed to be tense? You’re telling me, that a ship picks up the real dude, has video of them picking up the dude. Has call logs from space, is about to get space gas, and that’s not enough evidence that he didn’t murder his parents on earth? That none of our characters can think of any of that as evidence? That they are resigned to figure this out the hard way?

I knew the plotting was stupid, but I didn’t realize it was this stupid. Jesus.

If it wasn’t for the bookmark I’d have given up a long time ago. This book STINKS!

E.E. “I don’t know anything, and neither do you,” a truer statement has never been uttered.

E.E. 71% - the characters in this are beyond poorly written. The captain is a caricature of a bad leader to the point I don’t believe anyone would join her crew for more than a mission. I don’t believe for a second these people have put up with her for years, and then are surprised by her behavior.

And this bitch is over here screaming about how everyone loves Ocean, and how great Ocean is. But like… huh? Ocean is also a poorly written, bland character, who is subordinate for subordinations sake, and is so unlikeable!

E.E. 85% - this book hasn’t earned this “romance”. The chemistry these two people have doesn’t exist.

E.E. 93% - “I heard he’s your thief,” which is why you put him in half black, half white, and silver stitching?

Did an 8th grader write this?
