Silas’s life is very bleak. He literally has no one that truly cares about him. Even his Mom and Aunt were cool with him prostituting himself so they could keep up with their lifestyle. Yikes.

@Cyndy it was my least fave of the 4 books. It was just almost 75% depressing 🫠😬
Aw bummer. I’m sorry it wasn’t better for you. Hopefully your next one will work for you. I may skip this one too if it’s depressing through most of it 😬
Book 2 was the best. I hope you give that one a try.
