*crazy* good story decision to a) split the diviners up into atypical hangout groups and b) send them to various parts of America when previously the story mostly took place in NYC. Character dynamics get shaken up, they learn lessons from each other and their new surroundings, and it gives everyone a smaller goal (reunite) before the big one (defeat evil, save world).
