This book is not esoteric and artistically abstract. It’s badly written x

Could have been so good lol. Such a missed oppertunity. Hyperbolic perspective of abuse and although I don’t have complete confirmation, I assume Laura Albert hasn’t been thru childhood neglect, as a child of neglect, the crimes committed against the protagonist are almost cartoonishly horrible, unrealistically violent and cruel. The hyperbolic nature doesn’t aid story progression unlike its influences :( bad
