After hearing the stories complained about by reviewers (chatting with the person who killed a wolf and messing up in the field by taking the moose meat but learning from it), I don’t agree with them and would now recommend this book to people considering wildlife research careers, those interested in carnivore coexistence, reintroduction, or wolf history in the U.S. for realistic stories. The narrator is bad.

It’s definitley picking up - around chapter 4 I think. I don’t like the narrator (I can’t tell if it’s her voice or if the writing is dry, maybe both but definitely partially the narrator). I liked it more today though - the most so far.

A bit dry, but I’m interested to hear her story and learn about wolves. I see a lot similarity already in my own journey.
