i think rain is part right, she’s half eld half fey. bc the prisoner kept by the mage could be her mom or a sibling- fey. omg sariel being the prisoner would be crazy, but i feel like rain would know if she hadn’t died. but it would be a crazy plot twist so i could see it happening. the fucked up nightmare/ spell descriptions were pretty crazy (in a good way) cl knows how to write some messed up descriptions
