Finally, some symbolism! The boy has a hairclip from the girl that is the only “girlish”part about her that she allows. And then he goes and wears it for a couple of days just to tease her, since she denies she dropped it out of her pocket. And then he messes with her about it because she’s defensive about the hairclip. YAY DEPTH.
