It took about 100 pages for the “medicine” part of “music as medicine” to actually appear in this book. I understand that some background knowledge on music and the brain is needed as a baseline but I believe this book could have been structured better and instead of front-loading the more general information that is in the first 100 pages this information could have been interspersed throughout the book.

It’s a little dry but I’m hoping it picks up as it goes on.

One of his other books, This is Your Brain on Music, is one of my top 5 favorite books that I have read so I have high hopes for this book.
