so far the way the mystery is slowly progressing feels more like the author is deciding to add details whenever they feel like it. it goes like this: MC brings up his suspicion, side character goes “yeah when that happened to me i didn’t think about it but now it feels sus” and now the suspicion is a huge detail. i was expecting genius buildup but I guess author is talking me through the entire process ..
