My emotions are wrecked!! Something inside Katie gave her the strength to fight back, even at its worst she never gave up hope of getting away with Rosie. Claude made my skin crawl how he forced himself upon her. I'm so glad Gillian & Victoria were her rock.Even her Dad eventually had to stand by he's daughter even though he too is a controlling bully! Rosie after all she see was a bright beautiful child.

The pieces are starting to fit into place! Claude strangles Katie but stops before she passes out, this time over dinner not being prepared! Katie goes to her mum for help,It soon becomes apparent her Mum has suffered the same abuse as Katie, but she was not strong enough to leave.Katie begs her mum to help her leave. But I'm not sure she has the power or strength to help her as her Dad holds all the money.

A piece from the book.....Katie trying to justify Claude's behavior when he kicked her in her back out of bed whilst heavily pregnant...."An image of Claude alone and vulnerable. In spite of my anger and confusion I saw him as a boy, afraid, and as a young man, learning that his parents had been killed.“ whilst he apologises crying! - Katie is so vulnerable my heart breaks for her!

Katie blames herself for Claude's disturbed behaviour. Typical in comes Claude apologising hes sorry, he dont know what came over him, it won't happen again!! he's a bully & it keeps happening! I just prey he don't hurt the baby!! Mixed emotions right now, as this story is so true for so many women & men also. Domestic abuse of any kind is never OK!!! More needs to be done to raise awareness!

Oh My Gosh.... Katie is pregnant & all Claude can think of is how fat she has got & he moo's at her! Things are getting worse as Katie is walking on egg shells.Katie has 3weeks to go & Claude literally KICKS her out of bed she falls with a thud! words just can't describe how I'm feeling.Katie tries to confide in her Mum but she shrugs it off & tells her to work at it!

Gillian is Katie's best friend.Claude is away so they decide to on go out! Claude comes home early as she wasn't home for his call! he's raging angry, panting & sweating the throws the phone & shatters the mirror missing Katie.He shouts at her, grinning he tells her she disgusts him & to sleep alone to think about what she's done wrong!
Something tells me he's rage is about to get worse!

The first few pages were gripping, but the whole Christmas scene seemed too much a little jumbled. The end of the scene ended with Claude beating Katie in front of their daughter Rosie. chapter 2- Now the story begins how they met. I hope from now the story unravels with less confusion.
