Today is my first day in the redwoods of California at a work exchange program, across the country from everything I’ve known. I don’t know how long this journey will be. For space, I didn’t pack this book, painfully knowing how much it has been resonating with what I’ve been going through. I arrive at my destination, and this book is sitting on the shelf in the dorm I’m staying at. Life is weird.
