The author writes well but clearly has 0 knowledge of any other language than English. His attempts to discuss them are cringeworthy at best, and shockingly disparaging otherwise (as well as plain wrong). The book has some interesting tidbits overall but the ethnocentrism and lack of rigorous research make me doubtful of the overall quality of its arguments.
