Seven minutes in and I already cannot stand Ptolema and am desperately missing the Signalman. I think I'm supposed to find her cool, and badass and world weary and sophisticated but she comes across as pretentious and self absorbed. Rattling off classic and well known names from literature every line or so is the most "Junior Year Literature Major-Advanced English Class" shit I've ever read. Time will tell.
