Amidst all the non functional things, you can almost forget that till 32% mark into series finale, Nail doesn't even know about his lineage, that he is royalty. There is no way from here that he will become a protagonist in any meaningful way.

I am so done with this bullshit!
I am amazed at how this book is rated/reviewed by so many folks! This is not worthy of 5 stars! How do you not see so many issues in here and how do you award 5 stars to a book like this?
I mean what do you rate books like Mistborn. Licanius trilogy, Farseer Trilogy?
You're saying these are all 5 star worthy and are in the same category for you as a reader? I do not believe you!

At this point I know this series was a mistake. I know that the author lacked execution abilities for the vision he may have had. The whole series is literally beginning to fall apart under the weight of bad choices. Sad.

Apparently the theme of the series is mopping men and strong women.
And what's the easiest way to show strong women? Have dumb, sad & mopping male characters. And voila, even a women who tries to swing a sword is suddenly a badass bcz the men are lying in the dirt.

This series does not have a clear protagonist till 20% mark in book #3 and past that it becomes immaterial. Like...who am I following?

The epigraphs started as a wow factor, but have been reduced to an annoyance having failed to serve their purpose.
They offer no reveals, no resolution! All they do is convolute things & give you info that simply doesn't impact the story!

The author seems to be hell bent on taking a metric ton sized dump on all organized religion.
Not that I mind, but there has to be depth & nuance to it, not just "oh woe, we suffer bcz prophecies didn't come true so it must all be shyte"!

It's getting harder & harder to take this book, and trilogy, seriously anymore.

We've been following Mancellor since book #2 & Enna Spades since book #1, but suddenly in book #3 the author decides to "reveal" that Mancellor was raped by Enna and his hatred for her was building anew! Like...just weird!
