Kurt Vonnegut delivers a tongue in cheek, Mark Twain styled critique of modern USA. With punchy commentary the book fails to strongly develop any coherent thesis against what it’s arguing and instead offers quick jabs at political discourse and status quo that Vonnegut finds horrific. The timing of jokes are well done but it fails to go beyond the gripings of an old man frustrated with what the world has become.
