There’s a bit of melodrama in here, but I think I’m still drawn in by having a character dealing with kidney disease and navigating the need for a donor (since my dad worked in that works for most of his career). I’m certainly reading quickly, so the writing must be working for me.

The last book from my initial visit to the library this year! I know I enjoy dramas on the screen and am curious to see if I like them on the page, and perhaps discover what flavor I prefer. I wasn’t keen on the upper-middle class suburban setting but now that I’m further along, there’s enough substance to give me momentum.
