Just finished Volume 2 and am almost halfway through a year of a war and peace. It took me a few months of this journey to fully settle into its world, but especially these past weeks I’ve been deeply adoring the incredible balance of scale and intimacy Tolstoy creates and just how many different interwoven stories he’s told so far. The end of volume 2 was also one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever read.
