Well I would not recommend getting hit in the head with a lead pipe, getting your heart ripped out, then having your soul torn asunder. It feels pretty bad if I'm being honest

Ayla you have a crush on a woman now. All you'll be able to think about is her and all you'll ever feel is yearning. No room for anger. It's a curse really

I love love love Crier as a character. I just love how she is written. You can see her actively confused do to her "flaw" and how she is so unsure during interactions with Ayla. Shes so so good.

Ayla got a very emotional reunion with someone and I don't understand why she didn't go with them. She doesn't have any ties to this place besides Benji and she wants to keep him at a distance so he doesn't get hurt.

God I love this book. Somebody help me I'm binge-reading it 😭

I keep thinking "Kinok and Hesod are awful and terrible and I hate them. At least they can't get much worse" and they keep getting MUCH worse!!! God I hate these two

Okay so I got the first Ayla and Crier scenes and Crier is so fascinated by Alya immediately. She walks into the room and immediately thinks:

"She was more than a human girl. She was a summer storm made flesh."

I already love their chemistry so far. Can't wait to see Ayla's perspective of their interactions

The last couple books I've read have been shorter and less lore/worldbuilding heavy and they've been great. But I am absolutely loving this books worldbuilding so far. How the Automae race came to be. How they survive due to heartstone. The human oppression and Automae rise. The politics that are being brought up so far. It's all super interesting and I'm v excited to see how it goes. Plus two woman may kiss
