On finishing The Wreath: crazy wild. I was really starting to resent Kristin for the situations she kept getting herself into and then finally on the wedding day she had her come to Jesus.
I didn’t totally love the bomb they dropped on Larvans and Ragenfrid’s marriage nor do I think it’s totally right to have that be Ragenfrid’s character revelation.

Kristin is now akin to women of saintly image. The beautiful transformation noted from start to current has been inspiring to say the least. The way she accepts each child with such grace. Will happily stay up all of her nights to tend to each of them. She is now becoming a woman who suffers well.
The hardships of illness and hard pregnancies has made me more grateful for modern medicine in a sense.

Wow just wow.
That was one of the most beautiful dialogues of remorse and reconciliation with the Lord. The journey and the church scene.
Speaking of reconciliation the dialogue between Gunnalf and Ereland was equally beautiful.
This is definitely becoming a top favorite and may even beat Anna Karenina for me.

This book is amazing. I loved the whimsical childhood. The growing in maturity in the convent and the consequences she now has to pay. Every character is loveable in their own way. Also the way she actually convinces you to just be totally on Kristin’s world to see it all through her eyes and Lavrens has to bring us to Earth with the way Kristen is full honest with him. I pray every father is a Lavrens.
