Pretty eager to reach the end of this, but out of intense curiosity and anticipation of a good ending, not being tired or bored!! Again, why was the first act so awfully dull!! When it could have been like this all along!!

Why didn't she start with this part?? So much more interesting than the first 3rd of the book!! Though I might not have started it at all if I had known it was a secret WWII novel lol

So she CAN write well when she wants to!! Geez the first third of the book is a slog just b/c it's so poorly written and awfully paced

Still not well written. Dialogue is stiff and details are sparse. Sometimes reads like a summary of events. Pace is picking up a little bit though. I love a corrupt politician story.
