It then covers a topic about the guardian role and how it would mould the perfect one. It discusses about how education is important: either through story telling or music. But others are already disregarding the idea of story telling as it can lead to the false narrative. For instance, someone disagreed to the idea of story telling as it completely misinterprets the gods (from the story of Homer likely the Illiad)

In this chapter, they are discussing how to shape a “good city”. First they used an analogy of how a city relies on the expertise of each other in order to function as a healthy city. Socrates discusses how we need the farmers to feed the population, a tool maker to make his tools, a tradesman to distribute to other cities. But as the city gets bigger, it might expand to other land and a soldier is then needed.

So far, the consensus is pretty great. The book in depth talks about what justice and injustice is, and how it would affect the person, community and even as far as the ruler and the people its ruling. They even used metaphors to discuss the perspective, whilst trying to figure out its own meaning. Is it goodness, beauty and knowledge? Or is there more to it.
